3D/2N: Hummingbirds and orchids
The main objective of this expedition is observing approximately 40 species of hummingbirds and 68 species of orchids. The highligth species are the Koepcke´s Hermit (Phaethornis koepckeae), Rufous-crested Coquette (Lophornis delattrei), Wire-crested Thorntail (Discosura popelairii), Long-tailed Sylph (Aglaiocercus kingi) and Booted Racket-tail (Ocreatus underwoodii).
ITINERARY
DAY 01
Koepcke’s Hermit
At the end of the day, we make wildlife sighting at night around Moyobamba, where owls and other nocturnal wild species are the highlights.
DAY 02
Hummingbirds of the Alto Mayo Protected Forest
At the end of the day we return to Moyobamba to sleep in a local lodging.
DAY 03
Moyobamba Orchids
It includes guide services, payment of entry to tourist sites, lodging, food, land, and river transfers, activities, use of telescope or binoculars and information materials.
